Enemies with Benefits by Roxie Noir (4/5 stars) is everything you want in an enemies-to-lovers romance—smart banter, fiery tension, deep emotional payoff, and characters you can’t help but fall for.

I really loved these characters. The chemistry between the leads is off-the-charts from the start, but what surprised me (in the best way) was how much depth each character had beneath the snark and sexual tension. Their relationship evolves with just the right blend of angst, vulnerability, and slow-burn sweetness.

What makes this book stand out is the way it balances laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotional stakes. The banter had me grinning, but the quieter, more honest moments gave the story heart. You really feel the shift from enemies to something much more complicated—and much more real.

A few quotes that stuck with me:

“The line between love and hate is thinner than people think—and I was dancing on it with bare feet.”
“I didn’t mean to fall for you. I meant to argue with you forever.”
“We were a mess. But we were our mess, and somehow, that made it beautiful.”

There were a few small pacing hiccups here and there, but overall, this was such an addictive, satisfying read. Roxie Noir knows how to write characters that feel alive—flawed, funny, stubborn, and so easy to root for.

If you’re a fan of enemies-to-lovers done right—with steam, heart, and a whole lot of charm—Enemies with Benefits should definitely be on your list.
